Not sure how commonplace it is in your neck of the woods, but more often than not I’ve had to perform an emergency exorcism in the surf lineup. Archie Archangel, St Somewhere
Many people who take the athletic, training aspect of surfing very seriously and therefore often wonder what the best thing to eat before a surf is. For fuel or whatnot. Well, I am no expert, but a six pack of craft beer, 2 pizza’s, a salted caramel milkshake and five Eno’s definitely would be the wrong thing if you asked me. Lord Obvious, Whyevenbother
Epoxy resin. For some, the answer to the flimsiness of PU surfboards. But why stop there? Why not coat yourself in the stuff! Kevlar be damned! Surely epoxy resin would make damn fine body armour once it dries on your skin? Overlooking the fact it would probably render one immobile? Also, it may work better than neoprene for keeping us warm in the water! Perhaps several coats? Once, again, overlooking the fact that one may then be as flexible as the statue of David. Big Ben Bad Idea, CantBlame-Himfortrying-Fontein
Are you into surf photography? Practice on waveless days on land; by getting random strangers to come up to you with a smile on their faces, only to have them berate you loudly, with colourful swearwords, for not capturing their cutback “with enough spray.” Dirty Job, Somesgottadoit
Lucius Malfoy looks like the world’s most sinister surfer. Also, Sinister Surfer would also be a good antihero name. H Potter, Stairs in Surrey
