2024 Elections, elections & elections.

Elands Bay.

The 2024 elections are almost upon us, and I realised something. I witnessed a few angry surfers in the lineup getting seriously worked up with one another. They act just like our politicians in parliament – sorta like old Tom and Jerry cartoons. Just without the sense of order, fun and sophistication. Wayne Kerr, Cape Naartjie

Just like those random, weirdo, billy-no-mates kook surfers in the water, there are many SA political parties that remind you of ice cubes in a urinal. They must serve SOME purpose… but you’ll be damned if you know what that purpose is. Itchy Van Tonder, Mongrelpan

In 2024, all voters really do need to explain to the rest of the country why they insist on voting for politicians with the IQ and leadership skills of a discarded sock. It’s like sponsoring that one weird grom with the twitchy right eye and who always insists on putting their leash on their front foot. Fungus Abrahams, Datpatch

When supporters of one political party, all kitted out in said party’s regalia say, “that’s what happens when you vote for ‘Party X’ (any other party but the one they so clearly worship)”… That’s like chastising someone else for not waxing their board correctly after you have crapped your pants. Credit Card Smythe, Bin

Random Party Leader: “If I bend over correctly, I am able to skillfully lick my own poephol.”
Random Party Supporters: “He will be the best president.” “Son of the soil.” “My leader.” They act just like super stoked okes whooping and claiming lame barrels, SA voters are too easily impressed. Mal Matiballibagi, Mpoepholanga
