Beggars’ signs, innovative chumming & car guard surprises.

The poor beggars at the robots with their little signs: “hungry, homeless, horny” (just kidding about the last one, but wouldn’t that be hilarious?!) get me thinking. Instead of begging at the robots, these guys should be scouring the streets, parks, beaches etc; picking up rubbish – especially plastics for recycling. We get rid of rubbish (see what I did there?), provide employment, and these guys recycle themselves into decent members of society. Win-win. Gremlin Blackbag, Lake Squelch

Matt McGillivray and Siya Kolisi are living proof of how the Eastern Cape’s chief manufacture is top flight sportspeople for export. Compost McIntyre, Port Arrghhh

Tuned some mates: “the waves were glassier than a tik addict’s eyes.” I don’t normally claim any surfing metaphors or similes or whatever – but that’s frikkin’ classic. Well done to me. Milkshake Spear, Mount Frere

Instead of chumming for shark cage diving – I say instead we dump gallons of Prozac into our crowded surf lineups around the bay. Blood E Bucket, Oorskietbaai

Yesterday while driving down to the beach tt to surf, a car guard walked calmly but cautiously across an ACTUAL pedestrian crossing – instead of randomly leaping in front of my car like a suicidal jackrabbit whose final wish is to end up as a bloody grease stain on the tarmac.
